Martin has, in addition to his vast experience as a QC (primarily in international and offshore litigation), been involved variously as counsel and expert in many complex arbitrations and equivalent including most recently in Switzerland (corporate and trust issues, ICC and Ad Hoc), the Hague (beneficial ownership under multiple offshore trusts, United Nations Energy Charter Treaty) and London (drilling equipment lost down hole dispute, LCIA).  He has also advised in relation to issues in arbitrations most recently in Zurich (concerning a Liechtenstein entity, fiduciary’s obligations in relation to overseas trusts in multiple jurisdictions).

Martin has sat for many years as a Deputy High Court Judge of the Chancery Division of the High Court and is available to sit as an arbitrator.
